“Jurassic Coast Meats was established in 2008 to market the produce we rear on our family run farm, ‘Fossil Farm’. We are located in South Dorset on the world famous Jurassic Coast where we specialise in producing English Rose Veal and grass fed Aberdeen Angus Beef.
In 2010 after much demand for other local meats we secured supplies of all meats to supply to the catering industry throughout Dorset and Hampshire. We are a family run business with vehicles on the road six days a week delivering to hotels, pubs and restaurants, from Bridport through to the New Forest.”
Hollyhock Flock Farm
Sue Cole supplies us with delicious hogget (between a lamb and mutton).
“The Hollyhock Flock lives in the New Forest in Hampshire. The smallholding has grown over the years from a place where I wanted to produce lovely food for my family to now providing small amounts of very high quality meat for sale and beautiful woollen products.”
The Farmers Butcher
Neil supplies local beef all from his own herd in the New Forest. He also sends us homemade sausages and his own pancetta amongst other things!
Keyhaven Lamb
Lisa supplies the finest lamb and turkeys to La Perle.
“We started our farming business, Simeon Morgan Farming Ltd, over 15 years ago and we now farm 1500 acres of predominantly arable crops on a variety of agreements. The sheep were introduced 4 years ago, initially as a hobby, but now form part of an important “grazing management” plan on the new countryside stewardship areas introduced at Keyhaven. Our pedigree Zwartbles sheep are a large breed with a striking appearance. They make good mothers and produce a big lean lamb that is a little slower to mature. We have also introduced some commercial ewes who by crossing with a Zwartbles ram produce lambs that mature earlier, thus extending the supply of lamb into the shop to 10 months of the year. The lambs spend their days grazing in our unique environment, the sea air and rich herby pasture gives the meat a distinct, delicious flavour, which is why our “Keyhaven” lamb is such a special product. We also produce barn reared Norfolk White Turkeys for the Christmas market.”
